Book Editions¶
ETIS has two complementary long-form publishing roles.
The ETIS Framework Reference Work, Engineering Trustworthy Intelligent Systems, is the foundational professional work of the ETIS ecosystem. It provides the comprehensive treatment of software engineering, governance, operational trust, human oversight, and long-term stewardship in the AI era.
The ETIS Professional Computing Series develops durable professional capabilities aligned with that framework. Its inaugural title, From Data Structures to Engineering Judgment, uses data structures and algorithms as the teaching vehicle for developing engineering judgment.

Engineering Education Suite¶
The ETIS Engineering Education Suite includes course systems for phase-gate readiness, student engineering-judgment development, and instructor formal review. These are not all distributed as downloadable website products.
ETIS Preflight¶
ETIS Preflight is the student-facing, phase-gate-aware readiness capability. The COMP 330 implementation is published openly so students can inspect and run the repository-readiness checks used by their course.

ETIS Engineering Studio¶
Engineering Studio is an instructor-operated student-team service for frozen-evidence developmental review and engineering-judgment formation. Its source is public, but production use requires institutional or instructor deployment, identity, repository authorization, course configuration, privacy controls, and operations.

ETIS Engineering Review Center¶
The Engineering Review Center is the instructor-facing formal phase-gate review environment. It is described publicly so adopters can understand the educational model, while instructor assessment configuration and protected review logic may remain controlled where disclosure would weaken assessment integrity.

The suite is designed to work together but may be adopted one component at a time.
Engineering Platform Starter Kit¶
The ETIS Engineering Platform is a working engineering environment, not a static publication. Its downloadable form is therefore the repository archive.
The Starter Kit includes:
- Engineering Stages ES-100 through ES-114;
- stage guidance, activities, outputs, evidence expectations, readiness gates, and manifests;
- reusable templates;
- LMU/COICP reference examples;
- governance and evidence-centered engineering assets;
- Project Workspace materials;
- GitHub workflows and collaboration templates.

ETIS downloads follow four principles:
- Curated — only complete, professionally useful products are published.
- Durable — downloads are suitable for offline reading, teaching, archiving, or project startup.
- Traceable — downloadable products should remain connected to their authoritative website or repository source.
- Nonduplicative — the Downloads area does not reproduce the Publications catalog or the Engineering Platform website.
Not every internal ETIS artifact becomes a standalone download.
